Colorado is brand new territory for Little Apiary on the Prairie in 2027. We're delivering package bees, queens, and pollen patties — Carniolan, Italian, and Buckfast — to four Front Range and eastern-plains locations. Nucleus colonies are not offered in Colorado yet.

When Are Bees Delivered to Colorado?
Colorado is part of Wave 1, with pickups scheduled for April 2027. We don't have exact dates yet — you'll get your stop, date, and time window by email as the route firms up.

What Bees Are Available in Colorado?
Package Bees, 3 lb — $160–$175
Three pounds of bees with a mated queen. Choose Carniolan bees (best for cold climates), Italian bees (best for honey production), or Buckfast bees ($175, gentle and low-swarming).
Package Bees, 2 lb — $135
Two pounds of bees with a mated queen — the same genetics as our 3 lb package, just a smaller box. Carniolan or Italian.
Mated Queens — $45
Mated Carniolan or Italian queens for requeening, splits, or replacing a colony that went queenless over winter. Our queens are unmarked — we do not mark queens.
